I want to ask
1x Intel Xeon E5-2680 v2 is 10 core and 20 thread 2.80 Ghz
so if I use Double 20 Core – 40 thread and 5.60 Ghz ?
because I want to buy Xeon® Processor E5-2697 v2
Amazing!! Could you test the difference with 16Gb, 32Gb or 64Gb RAM in Cinebench? Greetings from Germany!!
What do these run wattage wise at 100% utilization. Like per cpu.
I just bought this motherboard and for some odd reason, I cant get it to power on. The green power indicator near PCIE slot is on, but when I connect the power switch wires nothing happens. I am quite positive this is user error but can you post a picture of your front panel pins so I can copy it
I need your help, does it pay to buy a socket like that nowadays?
worth spendin 300$ more to go on 2680v2 from 2070 ? Whats the difference betwen first version sandy xeon and v2 ivy bridge
thank you for your review is important for me ;
i have HP z620 made with those CPU's my core speed 3.1GHZ max
and you 3.5 GHZ the ASUS Z9 MOBO is beast push CPU to max clock
I just bought this motherboard and i find that the cpu sockets are very close. Which cpu coolers do you use?
Best dual cpu, need to buy…
Only 2 memory channels populated on each processor, not sure how that affects performance. If you add another 4 sticks of memory that might get you a little extra performance.
As for overclocking, is there an option to set the base clock on this board? The default is 100MHz, you might be able to get more out of it by nudging that up, but probably not much. Otherwise you are probably stuck with stock. Not that it's anything to be sniffed at.
I'm thinking of ditching my 4790k for something a little less gaming oriented, probably a dual xeon machine like this. The $/performance is just so good! I'm thinking either 2667,2680 or 2690 v2's.
i have 2695 v3 2.20 ghz (14/28) and get 1575 score on cinebech..msi x99 and 16 gb ddr4. your score should be better than this
cool video, I run a single e5 2680v2 in my daily system, great multipurpose cpu
