Hey Netnole,
I have the same motherboard, and RAM
corsair 650w psu
Gtx 1070 GPU
i7 7700k
With a pretty basic cpu fan
I am pretty sure everything is correctly plugged in
The mobo lights up when i plug it in but it will not turn on
The LED light on my case lights up once
do i need the cpu cooler you had or stock beefy heat sink and fan will work?
This is insane I am looking to build a new PC and before I found this video had already decided on your exact mobo/chip combo. Then looking for the best cooling solutions I stumbled on this video. Man I can't thank you enough. Perfect demo for what I am about to be doing haha the luck I have 😀 😀 😀 Thanks again.
Nice video and great build.
Great videos! I am very new at this and was wondering what fans you recommend if I was to do this exact built using this case or the MasterCase pro 5. Thanks in advance!
Nice video! Just wondering why no GPU is installed…? 😛
nice explaining nice background great pc
thank you 😀
Great explanation. Thanks, it helped me a lot.
Has the board died? According to reviews it has a short life span and I need to know if that is true. Please tell me
i have the same build but i can't get my hard drive to work, only the evo 960 m2 is work any help?
Beautifully explained.
hey netnole i just installed this mobo and attached an old ssd to it from my previous pc and it boots but none of the usb or ethernet ports work on the mobo, so i cant even reformat my drive or use any flash drives on the usb ports, what do i do?? plus the windows 7 is running extremelyy slow and laggy due to the device manager not detecting anything with a big yellow sign to everything on the mobo!! im so confused
what is a boot drive?
FIRST of all , cograts for your vids and really thank you .
The case seems like C.M. Silencio 652 s . Great .
My point and my question is about the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO . Can i use it at my mo.bo.maximus ix hero with an i5 7600k ?
Thanks in progress .
i just ordered an almost identical build to this yesterday, I am curious, what are the disadvantages of plugging that watercooler into the CPU_FAN power socket on the motherboard? Won't it just normally be temperature monitored and adjust the fans accordingly by the BIOS that way?
SALUT MEN WHY IT HAS NOT THE 9 SCREWS INSIDE THE BOX OF THE MOTHER board THAT I ORDERED. I can not install the 9 screws. motherboard maximus IX hero thak you answer me .
Hey , when I press the power button on my pc case, anything start up, but I can see colors comming up from the motherboard. And when I click on the little start. button that the motherboard have , all star up and shut down after about 5 seconds… what should I do ? Thanks
Hi. Nice build. May i know the prices you spent for the whole build?
I have a Maximus ix hero which has the slot for the Wi-Fi adapter and the holes in the I/O shield would anyone know how I could find the Wi-Fi adapter that fits in the open slot
Gr8 video man , just one question u didn't put a GPU card and u did use the HDMI. From the motherboard so how much gb the built in. Gpu in the asus maximum hero IX?
I just built a computer with my son and haven't built one in ages so we thought I'd look around and do some homework before jumping in. We used a Maximus motherboard and this video was REALLY helpful in just figuring out how to set things up. Little things like you showing the CPU cover popping off were really helpful – normally I try not to use force when putting things in, so that would have thrown me for a bit!
Thank you!
Not a copy cat but my best bang for my buck was the same component set you are using minus the M.2 drive. My case is an old IBM to keep unwanted eyes off the guts. This build cost me 1000 us by the way here in Japan. I was curious because its been a long time since I built a PC. Does the case provide anything an old case won't have besides cooling and convenience? I plan on molding carbonfiber guts for the case. I have a bunch left over from a motorcycle. Great video by the way.
1.5 speed for normal speaking
Thanks so much for making this video! I just built my first PC with a i7 7700k, Asus Maximus IX Hero and a corsair h115i and I am extremely happy! I pretty much did exactly what you did in the video and it all worked on the first boot with no issues other than the cpu fan thing you mention in the next video I believe. Thanks for the video!
can you connect 2 rad fans to the cpu header and connect the block to the aio pump?
hello i will be getting same mobo same ssd m.2 and same hdd. What do i have to do to boot up windows from m.2? do i have to change any settings in the bios or is it rdy to go and i just have to select where to boot from? Also do i set the m.2 to ahci or do i just leave it as how it is?
Probably one of most understandable & explained PC build videos I have ever come across. Good tutorial for some newbies to do their own works. Thanks.
Appreciate your video sir – I found this because I'm building the same rig except I was going to overpay for a 1500W power supply and I didn't even know about boot drives. My question, if you don't mind is – how would my system be affected without the boot drive? It would just take longer to boot up?
Great video, very informative
I got the same mobo and cpu , do you have a guide on how to OC ?
great step by step. thank you so much!
Can i use a quad channel ddr4 3200 64gb 4x16gb on the Maximus Formula IX…? It is a dual channel but I'm having some doubt, could u please help me..
Awesome video. About to build my own PC for the first time, and you're using the same motherboard, CPU, RAM, and similar water cooler. Very helpful!
Excellent video! I was searching for builds with ROG Max 9 Hero + i7 7700K + the Corsair H80i v2 and came across this gem. The parts for my build arrive today and I was just curious about placement of the water block and if others were using it with the same MB + CPU combo. I found your video very helpful. Thank you!
Drop the flashlight! You overexposed the area and render it white! Also you did not mention the fact that the CPU bracket is lose until yo install the block!
HELP ME Sorry, there is the black adapter … is it used with I7 7700K?!?
I put the processor in the adapter and then insert it into the motherboard?!?
AOI=All In One. Seems legit…
A question: I bought the 2666 (16GB DDR4 2666 Corsair C16 VenLEDK2 [CMU16GX4M2A2666C16]) for a ROG MAXIMUS IX HERO but then after looking in its list on asus site no present… there are no risks that are incompatible?!? Thank you
How high were you able to overclock the cpu to ?
Is there any specific reason you decided to go with 4 sticks of ram as opposed to only 2? I currently am working on a similar build and as an inexperienced builder, i'm trying to learn as much as I can about computers in general. Right now i'm looking at buying RAM but i'm unsure about what speed RAM I should choose. Also i've heard that these ASUS boards "work better' with 4 sticks or RAM as opposed to two. Any advice you can give me would be much appreciated.
Great build, wheres the GPU though?
37:21 So were going to go ahead and sa…..
Great video, just ordered new parts for my first self built enthusiast gaming rig (similar styled parts and mobo) and with this video's tips and general walk through was a breeze to put together. Thanks for uploading this!
Other videos show different direction of the wterbolck. Is this the right position of the or it doesn't matter?
Can someone tell if I'm missing anything for this build which is my first ever:
